Dear Texas Advocates to Restore the Republic,
We have been making tremendous progress with policy and interactions with our State Legislators in Austin, TX in the fight to push back against Real ID. However, we cannot be successful in our efforts without you.
While there are currently no appropriations for Real ID, Enhanced Drivers Licenses containing the insecure RFID Chip, were approved for Texas last session. The State of Texas deferred dealing with Real ID until 2010, but we are not going to settle for kicking the can down the road.

5-11 One Sheet We need you to interact with your elected officials and tell them to reject Enhanced Drivers Licenses and the Federal Real ID Act based on privacy, identity security and personal sovereignty by doing the following:
1) Support or Sponsor our Concurrent Resolution to opt-out of the Real ID Act in the State of Texas and not accepting any federal funding, grants or appropriating Texas resources for Real ID regulations.
2) Ask them to vote AYE on HCR 50 - A resolution to restore the 10th Amendment to power in Texas.
The Texas Legislature decides every two years what will be law in the State of Texas. Now is the time to be active, go to the phones, see your legislator about this issue and make your voice heard during 5-11's Lobby Days in Texas.

We have 3 options for constituent lobbying with the 5-11 Campaign.
A) Phone in your constituent concerns on March 4th
[Effective, better than not acting]
B) Stand with 5 - 11 Members at the Texas State Capitol March 5th
C) Visiting your District Representatives Office March 6th
All we ask if you act on this issue, is to let us know what you plan on doing. In the box above, titled "Documents for Legislators", are materials every legislator needs to understand what our intentions are for stopping Real ID in Texas. Please refer to these documents when communicating with your legislator.
